It is everyone’s responsibility to limit the spread of COVID-19. With that in mind, I have been changing as many of my consults as possible to online or virtual consultations. There are still some people that want to come in to be weighed and seen in person. I am still available for one-on-one consultations in my practice until the government places greater travel limits on South Africans.
If you do want to come in, please note the following. Please book a virtual consult if you have travelled to a high-risk area recently. Please also book a online consult if you have been exposed to any COVID-19 carriers.
Please arrive on time for your appointments to limit time in the waiting room. If you do arrive early, you are welcome to wait in the sunshine or in your car until the time of your appointment.
Hand sanitizer is available as you enter my practice room. My surfaces are sprayed every three hours and the scale is disinfected before each use. The keypad of my credit card machine is disinfected after each use and zapper is available should you prefer it.
Please do not hesitate to switch to a virtual consult if you wake up feeling unwell. You do not need any special software, I will send you a link that opens our consultation in your browser.
Please click the blue “Book an appointment” button at the top of my webpage to find a spot in my diary that is convenient for you. Please choose a virtual assessment for online appointments. In-person appointments are those that do not say “virtual assessment”.
Stay safe, stay hydrated and wash your hands.
Happy New Year!
This year promises to be a busy one. My practice is fully operational from this week and my hours remain the same: I am available Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings as well as Thursday afternoons. I see clients every second Saturday, these are very popular so please book your appointments in advance to avoid disappointment. I am one of the onsite dietitians at Investec and am available there on Tuesday mornings. Please contact me directly to make an appointment onsite, you cannot access this diary online. All other appointments can be made by clicking the “book and appointment” button at the top of my website.
I am starting cooking classes from February. I will host one class every two weeks, the topic of the class will be announced on social media but you are also welcome to contact myself or my receptionists to find out which topics are coming up. If you have a topic that is not covered, please let me know and I can create a class for you. Each class is very small (up to 4 people) to make sure that you get maximum attention and benefit. Cost of the classes depends on the topic of the class, there is a component of one-on-one attention that can be claimed from your medical aid, a food cost and if wanted, you can also order entry-level chef’s knives. Please email me for more information.
Thank you to everyone that has supported my practice this year. It has been wonderful seeing the incredible transformations and I am excited to see them continue in the New Year.
The practice is closed from 23 December until 10 January 2017.
If you urgently need to see a dietitian for a Vitality Nutrition Assessment, please click the “book an appointment” button at the top of my website. If you cannot find a time that works for you, I know that Toni Brien, a dietitian based near Norwood will be open from the 28th of December 2016 to help with those last few assessments. Please contact her on 082 889 8979.
I hope you have a wonderful break and look forward to a great year with you in 2017!
Do you have a nutrition question that you want answered but do not know if you need to see a dietitian to get it answered?
Every day I am bombarded with nutrition-related questions. Some of them are quick and easy to answer, some of them require a bit more time. This part of my website is dedicated to answering your questions. Please email me your question. I will answer you and if it’s a question I think other people will appreciate knowing the answer to, I will post both your question and my answer (with your details protected of course).
I look forward to your emails!
